So I tried the Section 8 demo and...

...hmm...I like the jet rocket jumping, and left stick click running that turns into a really fast run--and the mech suit was great (even though the weapons on the mech suit didn't seem to cause any more damage than the regular weapons so what's the point?)The graphics were great for the buildings and the characters, but the environment graphics like grass, roads, mountains and trees looked horrible and reminded me of Nintendo 64.The writing was too small and the old-style ''digital'' font made it even harder to read, and I have an LCD HDTV. I could barely make out who killed who.The dropping from orbit spawn was a unique and interesting idea, but after a few times it just gets annoying and I just want to spawn in a normal way.Overall a fairly good game, but with such great titles coming out soon I can't justify buying this game.So I tried the Section 8 demo and...
Same here, the game isnt fantastic, but not bad. :)So I tried the Section 8 demo and...
Multiplayer demos are a waste of time for meI understand they're easier but that's the whole point. If a dev doesn't care enough about it's product to put out a real demo then how much faith do they have in the game?
The section 8 demo is on Xbox live now!??!!

Yes, but you probably have to go to the ''Most Downloaded'' or Most Popular to see it. For some reason it wasn't showing up in the New Arrivals section.
I tried it out and I didn't really like it. You are right the text is much too small
Agreed. It's fun, some unique ideas, but the polish is not up to par with games like Modern Warfare, Halo, and Gears of War.
I actually enjoy playing Section 8 demo with my friends. It was a lot of fun clicking on the Left Joystick and run fast, it was really fun. I also like how big the maps are in this game, then again, I only played it last night and I loved it so whatever. It doesn't seem $60 though, more like under $40.
it's terrible..i enjoyed shadowrun more..and that's saying something
I was basically getting kicked out of every game after 30 seconds.Basically it seems like a next gen Tribes.
I didnt like it either
I didnt like it either
I was keeping an eye on it, it looked cool, I was thinking about buying it. but since I played the demo-Its a day 1 buy for me. I love it.
Personly the game is kinda bland not a knock off but the Multi did not have a wow factor IMO.
was not a fan myself!
Ugh, I absolutely hated that demo... :?
I did not like it. I did not like the menu and hud layout and the gameplay did not impress me. I did like the sweet spawning and the jump pack thing and super speed stuff. Also being able to purchase things like ammo drops and such was pretty cool. I can tell you I won't be getting this unless it has a good campaign (which i'm not even sure it has one but can be fairly certain it does). Needless to say the demo did not make me want the game.
Seems like Section 8 will be a love it or hate it kind of game.
I didn't like it at all. I'm turned off that there was no tutorial (or I just didn't try hard enough to find one). It was a pain figuring out how to do everything. It also takes forever and a day to kill someone, which I didn't like. Getting around the massive maps was also a pain.
I liked the way that they had an Instant action part to the demo but my first impressions on playing it were awful. I found the power run thing annoying and tricky to get the hang of, it also felt like the shooting was unresponsive and repetitive. I believe that it would only be a matter of time for gamers to find this game boring.
I thought it was pretty good. However they need to tweak some things, like increasing the damage and splash damage of the Rocket launcher, increase the punch of the shot gun and sniper rifle. Overall, it feels alright. It won't be a tribes, but close enough for me.
