No idea - just checked my gamertag on there and I'm also Tier 6.
It seems a bit like MGC - you don't need to login or anything, just enter your gamertag and it calls up your details - shows the stuff in the pic you posted, as well as things like your last played games, the gamerscore you have in those and number of achievements.
Major Nelson also shows up as Tier 6, so I'm guessing Tier has nothing to do with MS, and probably just made up by this siteTiers on XBL?

Maybe tier refers to the region you live in? I'm from the United states like you and i'm from tier 6. Also the user above is is from the UK and he's from tier 3. Also there's no seperation between tier number and the region.

im from uk and show as tier 6 so cant be that
I'm from Finland and tier 6. (Finland is in Scandinavia)
Maybe it's based on time, how long you've had your GT's?
I've had mine for about 2 years.
I've had my account on xbl for almost 2 years also, scandinavian with tier 6 as well.

Wow, this a thread from a few months ago. But, if you guys are Tier 6 from other countries, then I'm not exactly sure what it means. I've been an XBL subscriber long before Halo 2, so I'm not sure what it means then.
Mine says Tier 6 and I'm in the US. Not sure what it means though.

As for the time thing I don't think it's that either. My tag is 2 years old and is Tier 6. A friend who just made a new account a couple of months ago is also Tier 6. Countries don't seem to have any link with it either.
It's also nothing to do with reputation, since people with less than 5 stars still show Tier 6
maybe it has something to do with gamerscore. it seems like people with tier 6 are 10,000+ i have around 8,000 i'm teir 6 maybe it has something to do with that.

ok maybe not because i just checked out my friend who has 3,500 he is tier 6 also.
I'm the only person here who isn't Tier 6... I MUST BE THE CHOSEN ONE!
