Strange issue with WPA passwords and Xbo ...

Hi allI have recently changed my wireless security protocol from WPE to WPA-PSK (the WPA Encryption was set to TKIP+AES).I tried first using a 20characters password, but although it was recognised as correct by the Xbox 360 when I go to do a Media or Live connection test it comes up as being not connected and I get the following error msg:

''Wireless Test Status: Your Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter cannot authenticate on your wireless network. Verify that your wireless security settings are correct''.After checking every single parameter in my router, I just changedto a 15 characters password... and everything worked fine... I have to say that I did NOT change anything apart from the length of the password... This is quite strange to me, because I thought that WPA protocol accepted 64 character password... but it seems that Xbox 360 just do not like keys over 15... any idea? Thanks and regards,Strange issue with WPA passwords and Xbo ...
That's really bizarre and yes WPA supports between 8 and 63 characters. Do you have an option for just WPA or WPA2 or WPA Personal? If not I would upgrade the routers firmware and see if it allows thos options and then try them instead of the Pre-Shared Key method.I'm actually curious to see what happens so I'll try setting up a PSK at home and trying to connect with my 360. Later this evening. Strange issue with WPA passwords and Xbo ...
That is why I opted for a four port, wireless bridge. That way, I can add other devices in my living room (PS2) and the Xbox doesn't have to do any of the authenticating. Also, it is about half the price of the Microsoft wireless adapter.

[/QUOTE]Well, actually my router support the following Network Authentication protocols (among others): WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2 and WPA2-PSK, but I chose WPA-PSK because if I select single WPA I am asked to give info regarding aRADIUS Server IP address, port... that I do not have... and regarding the WPA2 (and WPA2-PSK), I was told that is not compatible with Xbox 360... do you believe that changing WPA Encryption mode from TKIP+AES to either TKIP or AES will work?Regards
