So are the new Elites Jasper?

I'm talking about the new (no HDMI cable included) Xbox 360 Elite that comes in the white box. I was just wondering if they upgraded them in any way. (I'm buying one of Amazon (free 12 month LIVE whoooo!). And is the 54% failure rate actually true? Because I have a hard time believing that Microsoft could get away with that...So are the new Elites Jasper?
The new Elites do have Jaspers. And that 54% fail rate, believe it or not, was true. Microsoft did get away with it for a while. Then they decided to begin upgrading the systems, and the rate slowly lowered. You should be fine. Just don't put it in direct sunlight, don't put it in inclosed spaces, and let it circulate air. Some people that do this still have launch systems. So are the new Elites Jasper?
I think the Resident Evil bundle has a Jasper in it aswell. I hope so cause I really want one.
So all of the Xbox 360 Elites in the white box have Jasper? Or did Microsoft sneak some Falcons in the white box? (I'm just worrying because I can't check the box on Amazon, obviously)
man my launch system is still going strong, don't worry so much. The fail rate is way down on 360's and up on PS3's (YLOD).
The truth is you won't know without checking the barcode on the box or looking at the powersupply. I am pretty sure it was all the core systems that came with the jasper. I don't know how many elites have it for sure. Either way you put it all of the models before the Jasper will break due to their design, the chances just goes down depending on the chip. I don't hear much about Jaspers breaking so they're currently the best choice but I am sure there's still a chance. It won't be untill the valhalla comes out that the RROD will be a thing of the past.
i have an xbox that i got on day one and it has never broken for me and its only over heated once
Will i be able to check if it is a jasper or falcon before purchasing it?

What the heck are you talking about? ALL consoles have SOME problems from time to time - that same report said Wii was around 6%, and ps3 around 11%. Compared to 54% that's nothing. 360 is basically 5 to 10 times more likely to fail than it's competitors depending on which one we're compersing to, and you casually make it sound like the 360 failure rate is normal and that it's competitors are in the same ballpark for problems.Give me a break.
