Popular games for my store

Hey there i work at an entertainment store and were trying to turn into a game store

on your opinions what games should i carry and focus on.

what accessory do you guys prefer?

i have all all the systems out so just let me know what you guys think.Popular games for my store
try selling wireless adapters, HDDs, mics, MS points, live cards, and most importantly..... CHARGE KITS!!!

as for games: anything good, really.Popular games for my store
You should carry all of the latest games.

I had a friend in Los Angeles that opened a game store, back in the PS1 days. Good times.

Let people sell and buy used games too...you'll have to to compete with the likes of Gamestop and all of the other little game trade places out there.
id start with wii and 360 and ps3s good ones, then go from there , all accessories are a must if you want a system to sell

Well you have to test the waters, see what will sell at your store. but i think keeping a bit of variety is never a bad thing.

oh god i agree on the charge kits like for people who really play things seem to die real fast at the worst times
See if you can get in a couple of Microsoft's wireless racing wheels, as well as some copies of the upcoming Forza 3. A lot of people are big into racing games, and Forza is pretty much the major racing game on XBOX consoles. I have a feeling that those wireless steering wheels are going to become a popular item again soon.

Yeah, I know it--it's a franchise right? If it's a franchise, then don't they have a national marketing department that will dictate the games and systems you will sell? Are you buying into the franchise?

Good luck man!

people have been asking me about the game i haven't heard of it till two days ago
People can get the latest new games pretty much anywhere, so it's pointless trying to compete with place like Best Buy and Wal-Mart in that category. However, you could try and offer competitive trade-in values and used game prices to steal some business away from gamestop in the used games category.

well yea we offer more for used games and our games are like two dollars cheaper then gamestop
Trading in used games for a better price would be your best bet on beating Gamestop.

That's the way to do it. Now you guys just need to get the word out that your deals are better than gamestop.
When it comes to games, other than the obvious popular sequels that are coming out (ODST, MW2, ME2, etc.), you might want to focus on Borderlands and Dragon Age. They could be the sleeper hits amongst the upcoming games. Or at least I'd be interested in them.
Go to review sites/forums and look at top rated and top discussed games to sell... Don't just sell ''new releases'' because some of them are pretty bad and don't sell very well...

Sell popular classics as well, like CoD/Halo/GoW, etc...

Also, sell peripherals like HDD kits, live time, controllers, headsets, and point cards...

yea to bad the company is cheap like i had to write it on paper and hand it out.

i mean for me to hear that we were getting games and it was my department excuse my language but i was **** excited i think games are a great past time for people who work to much and are to tired to go out sometimes. we had a conference call the whole time i was offended all the other managers had no clue what games are or systems and said gamers are anti social and have no life. im sorry but im not out of shape at all im very social, it was really offensive seeing as these people are overweight and say their more social.
