the problem has been fixed with the red ring problem. In the end price is now longer an issue with the ps3 or 360 it comes down to what games you want to play. You wouldnt be making a mistake if you bought a 360 though it has imo the best games and the hardware is now solid.200 pound Xbox 360 Elite vs 250 pound PS ...
xbox 360 for better online community
I got my second 360 last year and it got RROD, has the problem been fixed between now and then?? Third time lucky perhaps.
Well, I have got an Xbox 360, and I would highly recommend it, although reliability is is an issue, as a matter of fact just a few days ago my 360 got the RROD, however M$ usually do get it fixed sharp-ish.I have a friend who owns a PS3, and he says that he regrets buying one, for the online apparently isn't too good, although it is free.As well as that take into consideration which console your friends have if you want to play online, for gaming with friends is much funner than with strangers online. Almost all of my friends own a 360 and play online and it is great fun.I can't comment to much on a comparison of games for I don't have a PS3, but the 360 does have a few exclusives like Halo and Forza which are fun.
IMO, Xbox 360 has the better exclusives, and the best online service, and the best everything, but ill admit I'm a Microsoft fan boy and hate the ps3

For the newer 360's, you're much less likely to get the RROD. That being said, they haven't been out very long but I haven't heard many problems from them, but if **** does hit the fan, it's covered for 3 years at least. So, I think you should continue with your decision to get a 360.

And they would tell you to post in System Wars where there are even more fanboys.
Also, TC already seems like he is leaning towards getting a 360.
Seeing as the premium is now ''Phased out'', if mine does get RROD do you think I'll get a premium back? Or an arcade?

For value I would definately get the PS3 it's the best multi-media device on the market for its price. I would purchase a 360 if you're only planning on playing games.
