Xbox360 freezes while playing videogames

This morning I was playing mass effect and out of nowhere the game just stopped. I turned the controller off than I turned it back on, next thing I know I see four green lights showing up on my controller(not the console). This is not the first time my xbox360 has done this. Has this happened to anyone else before?Xbox360 freezes while playing videogames
is this a singular occurance? cause if it is, there is no cause to worry, consoles will do this from time to time for various reasons. its when it starts to freeze constantly at an accelerating rate that you have a problemXbox360 freezes while playing videogames
sometimes it's just the game for example the only game that frezzes alot for me is Fallout and only Fallout
For me it is fifa 09 my xbox doesnt like :P Occasional freezes are fine.
You could try saving these games to the hard drive.

If the game saves to it 100% then hopefully the game should work fine without crashes.

If it gets to a certain point of the installation and then stops, then the disc is probably damaged.

But I think its normal, I've had a few freezes, even with my other consoles: ps2 and gamecube, etc
Not trying to instigate fear, but the times when my console would freeze was when I recieved the Red Ring of Death. For your sake, I hope it's a minor issue.
Yeah, both times I had freezing problems, I had to get repaired. My console went the first time, then had drive corruption. Are you getting weird black lines jutting out when you play games? Cause that's a bad sign too XD
