I've also heard that problems plague the DLC, good for me I sold Mass Effect a long time ago, I'm not even looking forward to Mass Effect 2.
There's no problems.It's just very shallow...it should have been free.

It's boring. That's what's wrong with it. No story. Just a battle simulator.
I really REALLY wanted to love Mass Effect. But I got the Platinum Hits, beat the game at level 31, and didn't even load up the free DLC that came with the two-disc package. Something about it really puts me off; probably the slow, tedious dialogue. It's not even RPG dialogue that moves up the story, it's like every person who has something to say gets a cutscene that takes forever to end.
It's kinda bland, and if you have the version of the game that came with the first DLC, the second DLC doesn't work unless you delete the first DLC and redownload it... didn't happen to me, but it sounds like a PITA. Honestly, the fact that it's an easy 150G is the best part.
It's not really that bad from what I hear, it's just a little something extra you can fight through. It's pretty cheap, and it's more game content, so I would say it is worth getting.
